After discovering early this morning that our (make up) 930am lecture was cancelled an hour before the lecture was scheduled, and after a long and angstfilled stream of incoherent screams i.e. I WOKE UP AT 8AM FOR THIS LECTURE WHAT IS THIS and I BET HE WENT BACK TO SLEEP and I ACTUALLY CURLED MY HAIR FOR THIS!!!, Andie and I decided not to waste the day and headed down to town for brunch.

Ridiculously hungry, had the English breakfast because i am conventional with my breakfasts like that, you do not introduce adventurousness into the mix when someone is starving or shit will Hit The Fan. Cindy also had this caramel latte thing which was amazing.

The rest of the afternoon was spent in a lazy daze walking around town sans the suffocating crowd so characteristic of the place. Mmm. Slightly miffed to discover that, hey, what do you know- i don’t look twenty one! Tickets for the Girl with the dragon tattoo gifted to a random happy couple trying to decide which show to watch instead, good deed of the day accomplished as a side effect, sort of.

Other odd happenings of the day include a random passerby who refused to take half-body polaroid shots for us. We have since concluded that she has a foot/shoe fetish.

when you’re young
a pair of
female
high-heeled shoes
just sitting
alone
in the closet
can fire your
bones;
when you’re old
it’s just
a pair of shoes
without
anybody
in them
and
just as
well.

Ooh la la.
