Currently listening to:Come what may from the Moulin Rogue OST
Status:Just watched Moulin Rogue & i LOVED it!

A little over a month ago, Microsoft Singapore very generously loaned me the new Windows 7.5 phone which has yet to hit markets (then, im not sure about now) for my trip to New York. It’s an aesthetically pleasing extraordinaire with the Windows OS built onto a Samsung handset, tapping and sliding and swiping away at it made me feel like some sort of female Bond with a really slick tech gadget which doubles up as a mirror and lipstick..

Your peek at it:

Angry birds i couldnt care less about but PLANTS VERSUS ZOMBIES!!…THE MANIFOLD JOYS OF PLANTS VERSUS ZOMBIES ARE NO LONGER LIMITED TO THOSE WITH iOS DEVICES!! Player525012447 approves.

The phone’s gorgeous, with an excellent camera- those of you following me on twitter would have seen my stream of twitpics from New York. The pinned tiles outlook is a fresh breeze of air after seeing the standard apple and blackberry menu outlooks for what seems like forever.. everyone who’s seen me using it has exclaimed in varying tones of pretty

A few gripes though: the app store (marketplace) is relatively un-user-friendly, the search button at the bottom right gets activated too easily and brings up the search page, disrupting whatever you’re doing, and the twitter function could do with notifications (no alerts visual or otherwise when you get a mention on twitter). A later version might include a front facing camera and a multitasking option.

However, if you’re like me and just want a goodlooking phone emphasis on the goodlooking with a smashing camera and gorgeous fonts all around- this phone was obviously designed with very specific aesthetically pleasing qualities. For the workaholics out there, it also has a full fledged Microsoft Office built in- very handy. And of course, the complete internet explorer browser we all grew up with.

After all, a phone at its most basic level needs to make calls and text well, and this phone does both extremely satisfyingly with the added bonus of being able to tell the guy playing his psp next to you on the train “my phone doubles as an xbox console, what does yours do?”

Thankyou Microsoft SG!
